Women's Golf First After Day One in Kutztown
Kutztown, Pa. (October 2, 2016) – The Franklin Pierce Women's golf team wrapped up competition in first place during the first day of the Kutztown University Fall Invitational Sunday afternoon.
As a team, the Ravens have hit 323 (+43) through the first day and have a three stroke lead over the host Bears (326, +46). West Chester University wraps up day one in third place (334, +54).
Freshman Zoe Yamamoto (Honolulu, Hawaii) leads the field of 49 golfers with a 76 (+6) score and teammate Camden Morrison (Millis, Mass.) trails Yamamoto by a stroke and retires after the first day in second place.
Nine golfers had to suspend play due to the diminishing sunlight.
