HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • The game started off in favor of the Ravens as Leana Heitmann (Syracuse, N.Y.) drained a three pointer to get the scoring started for both teams. Collette Mulderig (Scranton, Pa.) added a jump shot and a layup in the last five minutes of the first quarter to give the Ravens the lead going into the second quarter.

  • The Chargers would take the lead in the second quarter as Charlotte Bassett would start her streak of points when she tied it at 14-14. From there, they would go on a 9-point run, five points coming straight from Bassett. Mulderig would attempt to shorten the lead at the end of the first half with three points to finish the half.

  • The second half would continue to be in favor of the Chargers as they dominated the scoresheet for most of the third quarter. Paige Slaven (Long Beach Island, N.J.) would add the first points of quarter three for the Ravens on a tip in from Geanna Bryant's (Boston, Mass.) layup attempt. Slaven's basket would bring the score within 10, but the Chargers would continue to lengthen the spread.

  • Heitmann would make an effort to start the comeback for the Ravens as she drained a three-pointer shortly into the fourth quarter. However, the Chargers would not look back and secure the NE10 conference win with a final score of 66-44.
