Women’s Basketball’s Lipinski Selected to All-Conference Second Team

MANSFIELD, Mass. (March 2, 2020) – Franklin Pierce University women's basketball sophomore forward Izzy Lipinski (Farmington, Conn.) has been chosen to the Northeast-10 Conference Second Team the league offices announced after a collection of votes by the conferences head coaches were tallied. It marks the first time since the 2015-16 campaign (Kara Charette, First Team and Natalie Bastian, Honorable Mention) that a Raven women's basketball player has received All-Conference Honors.

Lipinski, a 2018-19 All-Rookie Team honoree and a nine-time member of the NE10 Weekly Honor Roll this season started and played in all 26 games for the crimson and grey this year. She averaged a team-leading 15.9 points, 7.9 rebounds, 1.8 steals, 1.0 blocks per game and shot a team-best 56.2% from the hardwood which all were career-highs.

She ranked second in the conference and third in the east region in field goal percentage, fourth in the NE10 and sixth in the region in field goal conversions (173), sixth in the conference in scoring, tied for seventh in steals per game and deadlocked for eighth in rebounds per game. Lipinski was one of seven players in the Northeast-10 to average over 1.0 blocks and 1.0 steals per game and she recorded nine double-doubles over the course of the season.

In 19 conference games, Lipinski was even more dominant averaging 17.9 points, 8.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.9 steals and 1.1 blocks per game converting shots at a 54.6% clip. She had one of her best scoring outputs of the season at home against Saint Anselm on February 19th when she scored a career-high 32 points going 14-of-23 (60.9%) from the hardwood with nine boards and a persona-high six steals. Earlier in January against Saint Michael's on January 4th, she snared a career-high 16 rebounds in a 24 point effort in which she was a perfect 10-of-10 at the free-throw line.

The Ravens finished the 2019-20 season with an 11-15, 5-14 record, matching their combined win total from the 2016-17 season through 2018-19.
