RINDGE, N.H. (January 20, 2018) – The Adelphi University women's basketball team used a barrage of three-pointers to defeat Franklin Pierce University 93-51 Saturday afternoon in Northeast-10 Conference action at The Fieldhouse. With the win, the Panthers even up their record at 10-10 overall and 6-6 NE10 while the Ravens dropped their 11th league match of the season.

Freshman forward Hannah Martin (Woodland Hills, Calif.) paced the Ravens offensive attack with nine points on 4-of-6 (66.7%) shooting in 19 minutes off the bench. She also grabbed four boards and blocked one shot. Starter Mya Mosley (Worcester, Mass.) racked up nine points, a team-high four helpers, to go along with three rebounds, two steals, and two blocks.

For Adelphi, four of five starters tallied double-digit points with sophomore guard Fallyn Stephens chipping in a game-high 18 points on a 6-of-12 (50.0%) performance from beyond the arc. The Panthers buried 16-of-29 (55.2%) of their three-pointers on the afternoon and made the Ravens pay with 30 points off their 24 turnovers.

The guests started off the contest with a right-wing three-ball from Stephens to move ahead 3-0. AU continued to tack on points when Emily Miccile drained a three-pointer that upped the edge to 8-2. Both teams traded buckets until Martin corralled a skip pass from Mosley who was standing on the left wing. Martin was wide open and knocked down her first collegiate trey to cut into the Panther lead at 10-7. A few possessions later, Mosley drove from the top through the teeth of the AU defense, used a pump fake to draw her defender off balance then went up and under with the rock to make the score 10-9.

Adelphi would respond with a 16-0 scoring run over the next five minutes of play to lead 26-9 following two Miccile freebies. After the end of two quarters, the Ravens trailed 43-24. The Panthers would continue to launch and connect on three-pointers as their advantage reached a high of 42, 93-51 with 59 seconds to go.

Franklin Pierce heads out on the road for two games next week, the first against conference opponent the University of New Haven on Tuesday, January 23rd at 5:30 p.m.
