Northeast-10 All-Conference Teams

RINDGE, N.H. (February 26, 2016) – Senior forward Kara Charette (Fairhaven, Mass.) and senior guard Natalie Bastian (Branford, Conn.) of the Franklin Pierce University women's basketball team have both been honored by the Northeast-10 Conference in the league's end-of-the-season awards, as announced on Friday by the Conference office. Charette was named to the All-Northeast-10 First Team, while Bastian earned an All-Conference Honorable Mention.

For Charette, who is no stranger to All-Conference selections, this marks her second straight selection to the All-Northeast-10 First Team, her third All-Conference selection overall, and she also earned a spot on the All-Rookie Team as a freshman. Meanwhile, Bastian earns her first postseason award as an Honorable Mention.

Charette has started in 24 games this season, and has started 110 games of her 113 played at Franklin Pierce. She has earned the number three spot in all-time scoring the program's record books, scoring a total of 1,911 points and collecting 644 rebounds over her four years with the team. As a senior, she has averaged 17.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game, while chipping in 1.7 assists per game as well.

Bastian is having her best season yet at Franklin Pierce, as she currently has 351 points on the year (13.5 per game), which makes her the second-leading scorer for the team. Over her four years in Rindge, she has played in 97 games, scoring 718 points and collecting 219 rebounds. To go with her 13.5 points per game in her senior campaign, Bastian is averaging 3.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game as well.

The Ravens finished the regular season at 14-12 (11-10 Northeast-10), which earned them the fourth seed in the Northeast Division. The team will open the Northeast-10 Championship with a first-round contest on Friday, Feb. 26 at 7 p.m., when they host the Southwest Division's fifth seed, Adelphi.
