Charette Earns Post Season Honor

RINDGE, N.H. (March 18, 2015) – Junior forward Kara Charette (Fairhaven, Mass.) of the Franklin Pierce women's basketball team was named to the Daktronics/Division II Conference Commissioners Association a All-Region second team, as announced on Thursday.

Charette led the team to a 19-11 season with 526 total points. She also grabbed 200 rebounds (6.7), and tallied six double-doubles. Earlier in the season she earned her 1000th point against Queens College (N.Y.), while hitting a career high 30 points against New York Institute of Technology.

She is currently ranked third in the NE-10 for points per game, 17.5, while also ranking third for field goal percentage 53.3%. In addition to the Daktronics/Division II CCA All-Region second team, she was also named to the All-Northeast-10 First Team.  

Joining Charette on the Daktronics/Division II CCA All-Region second team is Tori Faieta (Stonehill), Chelsea Williams (LIU Post), Brianne Traub (Universisty of the Sciences), and Jen Gemma (Bentley).
