NCAA II Women's Championship vs. Minnesota State-Mankato on ESPN2 Tonight!
SAN ANTONIO, Texas (March 27, 2009) - Tonight's NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Championship between 14th-ranked Franklin Pierce University and #4 Minnesota State-Mankato will be televised live tonight on ESPN2 and ESPN2 HD at 8 p.m. (EDT)
It marks the first time a Franklin Pierce team has had full national coverage, with ESPN2 reaching over 90-million households in the United States. Franklin Pierce has seen previous coverage on ESPNU, CBS College Sports and various regional outlets.
Franklin Pierce (29-5, 18-4 NE-10) looks to become the first basketball program in the State of New Hampshire, regardless of division or gender, to win an NCAA National Championship. The Ravens, making their first ever appearance in the championship game, will battle Minnesota State-Mankato (31-2, 19-1 Northern Sun).
