Cross Country Competes at DII East Region Championships

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (11/9/24) - The Franklin Pierce men's and women's cross country teams competed at the 2024 NCAA DII East Regional Championships hosted by Roberts Wesleyan University in Rochester, New York. The hosts of the event would claim the women's title while fellow NE10 opponent, the SCSU Owls, would claim the men's title.
RESULTS:
Men: 4/18 teams
Women: 12/19 teams
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The men's 10k race would go first at 10 AM. Ryan Outerbridge (Paget, Bermuda) would finish first and in the top 10 as he finished 7th overall with a time of 31:47 to earn All-East Region honors. Logan Mihelich (Northwood, N.H.) would finish second for the Ravens in 32nd with a time of 32:46. First year Sam Fortin (Hebron, Conn.) would follow in 34th place overall with a time of 32:54. The next Ravens runner would be Angel Mendo Alonso (Malaga, Spain) in 37th place with a time of 32:58. Declan Morgan (West Springfield, Mass.) would be next in 43rd place with a time of 33:14. Senior Harrison Pelosi (Gloucester, Mass.) would finish in 52nd with a time of 33:27. Wrapping up the finishing for the Ravens would be sophomore Liam Doherty (Methuen, Mass.) with a time of 34:02 to earn 67th place. The Ravens finished with 141 points and in 4th place out of 18 teams.
The women's 6k race would follow at 11:15 AM. First year Hailey Desmarais (Assonet, Mass.) would continue to shine for the Ravens as she leads the way with a 23rd place finish. She ran a time of 22:55 to earn All-East Region honors. Next for the Ravens would be Tatum Seastrand in 40th place with a time of 23:45. First year Ellie McOnie-Lownsbrough would be next in 72nd overall with a time of 24:48. Shortly after, Jasmin Baillargeon (South Wheelock, Vt.) would finish in 80th place with a time of 25:06. Senior Meghan Sheline (Southington, Conn.) would be next in 85th place with a time of 25:11. First year Isabella Generelli (Worcester, Mass.) finished 102nd overall and Lauren Muldoon (Hampton, N.H.) closed it out in 121st. The Ravens finished with 291 points and in 12th out of 19 teams.
