Cross Country Competes at 2024 NE10 Championships
HOPKINTON, Mass. (10/27/24) - The Franklin Pierce men's and women's cross country team competed at the 2024 NE10 Conference Championships, Sunday. The championships were hosted by Franklin Pierce at the Hopkinton State Fair Grounds. Southern Connecticut State University earned the men's title while Bentley won for the women.

The men's 8k would go first starting at 11 AM. Ryan Outerbridge (Paget, Bermuda) finished first for the Ravens in 6th place overall to earn NE10 All-Conference first team. He finished with a time of 25:20.39. Sophomore Angel Mendo Alonso (Malaga, Spain) would be next in 26th place with a time of 26:27.08. Following closely behind would be senior Logan Mihelich (Northwood, N.H.) in 28th place with a time of 26:33.97. Freshman Sam Fortin (Hebron, Conn.) would come in next in 31st place overall with a time of 26:47.63. Closely out the pack would be junior Declan Morgan (West Springfield, Mass.) in 35th and Liam Doherty (Methuen, Mass.) in 36th. Senior Harrison Pelosi (Gloucester, Mass.) would finish in 45th place to round out the scoring for the men. John Viens (Berkshire, Vt.) and Aidan Healy (Bedford, N.H.) would also compete in the championships for the men. The team earned 117 points overall and finished fourth out of 11 teams.
The women's 6k would follow with a start time of 12:15 PM. Hailey Desmarais (Assonet, Mass.) would finish first for the Ravens in 16th place overall with a time of 23:27.62. This finish would earn her NE10 All-Conference third team. Next, Tatum Seastrand (Boise, Id.) would cross the finish in 21st place. Her time of 24:06.98 would also earn her NE10 All-Conference third team status. Junior Jasmin Baillargeon (South Wheelock, Vt.) would be next for the Ravens as she finished 31st overall with a time of 24:47.02. In 49th place, freshman Ellie McOnie-Lownsbrough would finish with a time of 25:49.81. Next for the Ravens would be Meghan Sheline (Southington, Conn.) with a time of 26:26.48 in 58th place. Shortly after, freshman Isabella Generelli (Worcester, Mass.) would finish in 61st and Lauren Muldoon (Hampton, N.H.) would finish in 79th to close out the scoring for the Ravens. Freshman Lillian Byrne (Methuen, Mass.) would also finish for the Ravens. Altogether, the team earned 171 points and would finish seventh out of 11 teams.
