Three Earn All-NE10 Honors as Men’s Cross Country Takes Fourth at NE10 Championship

JAMESVILLE, N.Y. (October 27, 2019) -- The Franklin Pierce University men's cross country team was in upstate New York on Sunday, to participate in the Northeast-10 Conference Championship. The Ravens had three runners earn All-Conference honors on the way to a fourth-place finish, out of 14 teams.

Junior Hugo Arlabosse (Marseille, France) was the first Raven to cross the finish line of the 8k course. He took fourth out of 146 runners, with a time of 27:25. Next was sophomore Riley Fenoff (Danville, Vt.), who took 13th with a time of 27:45. Fenoff was followed directly after by senior Jason Reed (Foxborough, Mass.), who took 14th after a 27:47 finish.

With the top 21 finishers earning All-Conference accolades, each of the Ravens' first three finishers picked up some hardware. Arlabosse landed on the All-NE10 First Team, while Fenoff and Reed claimed the final two spots on the All-NE10 Second Team. In addition, Fenoff was selected as the recipient of the men's cross country Elite 24 Award, which is awarded to the student-athlete with the top grade-point average at each of the NE10's 24 championships over the course of the year.

Next for the Ravens was graduate student William Rawson (Atherton, England), whose 28:22 finish led to 24th-place finish. Junior Cody Tallent (Bellows Falls, Vt.) came in 34th after his 28:44 finish to round out Franklin Pierce's scoring five. Junior Antonio Rua (Burrillville, R.I.) took 38th for his 28:54 finish.

Freshman Zach Aham (Nottingham, N.H.) ran a 29:40 leading to a 55th-place finish. In 58th was junior Ryan Ducrow (Amesbury, Mass.), who took the course in 29:56. Shortly behind was the 60th-place finisher, senior Tyler Hayes (Kings Park, N.Y.), who ran a time of 30:02.

The next two finishers for Franklin Pierce were senior Walker John (Boscawen, N.H.) and sophomore William Aylward (Peabody, Mass.). Walker crossed first, taking 66th with a time of 30:18. Aylward was right behind at 30:21 for a 67th-place finish. Senior Ahmed Rabbini (Peabody, Mass.) took 94th place with a time of 31:26.

Sophomore Jack Lang (Shelter Island, N.Y.) ran the course in 32:51, leading to a 119th-place finish. Rounding out the finishers for the Ravens was freshman Ibrahim Ayyash (Worcester, Mass.), who landed 143rd after his 38:33 finish.

The Ravens combined for 89 points, leading to fourth-place finish out of 14 schools. Taking the win was American International with 39 points, for its fourth NE10 title all-time, all of which have come in the last six years. The Yellow Jackets were followed by Stonehill with 79 points and Southern Connecticut State with 85 points, directly in front of the Ravens. Southern New Hampshire rounded out the top five with 96 points.

The Ravens will be back at it on Saturday, Nov. 9, for the NCAA Championship East Regional in Philadelphia.
