Biunno, Ham in action as well

WESTFIELD, Mass. (May 10, 2014) – Junior Antoine Gisore (Concord, N.H.) and freshman Dage Minors (Hamilton Parish, Bermuda) both earned All-New England honors on Saturday, to lead the way for the Franklin Pierce University men's track and field team on the third and final day of the NEICAAA (New England) Championships, hosted by Westfield State. The duo combined for six points, which left Franklin Pierce 26th, of 38 scoring teams, with 12 points at the conclusion of the three-day meet.

Gisore had the highest finish of the weekend for the Ravens, as he ran a 3:50.49 in the 1500 meters to finish fourth. He earned All-New England honors with the season-best time, which picked up five points for the team. Minors also earned All-New England accolades, as he competed in the 800 meters and also ran a season best. His mark of 1:51.24 was good for eighth and earned one point for Franklin Pierce.

Two other Ravens were in action on Saturday at Westfield State. Sophomore Colton Ham (Webster, N.H.) ran a 9:44.19 in the 3000-meter steeplechase to finish 14th. Meanwhile, fellow sophomore Vincent Biunno (Montgomery, N.Y.) cleared 1.90 meters in the high jump to finish in a tie for 15th.
