HOW IT HAPPENED:
-
The Ravens had the opening kickoff, followed by a corner kick 47 seconds later. The Ravens were unable to convert, along with 3 other corner kicks throughout the game. That was followed by a shot from Antonio Lima (Lisbon, Portugal) that missed high. The Golden Eagles then have possession down the line, and a shot by Michail Tselios gets saved by Karl Vernet. The Golden Eagles quickly regained possession and had another shot by Stafford Dowling that gets blocked by the Raven's defense, with under 15 minutes into the game. Karl Vernet continues to make 5 saves to send the game into the second half scoreless.
-
With over two minutes into the second half, a shot by Aaron Sanchez Sanchez (A Coruña, Spain) misses right. The Ravens regain possession 5 minutes later and have Julen Martin (Bilbao, Spain) shoot low center, but a save by Konstantinos Parisis keeps the game scoreless. A couple of minutes later, Paul Hoste gets a yellow card for Charleston, and the Ravens follow with another corner kick. The Ravens have yet to get anything going offensively, with just over 35 minutes left in regulation. Following substitutions heading into the game for the Golden Eagles, they then capitalized on catching the Raven's defense on their heels. Caio Moraes shot high right and hit the only goal of the game. The Raven could not answer, as they got fouled 19 times throughout the game. The Golden Eagles hung on, 1-0 to move on in the playoffs, and knocked off the Ravens.
