AHCA All-American Scholars

GLOUCESTER, Mass. (August 13, 2020) – The Franklin Pierce University men’s ice hockey team has had seven student-athletes named as All-American Scholars by the American Hockey Coaches Association, as announced earlier this week by the AHCA.

The following Ravens earned All-American Scholar accolades: junior defenseman Paul Antkowiak (Salem, N.H.), sophomore goaltender Adam Carman (Vestal, N.Y.), graduate student forward Sam Gagnon (Montreal, Quebec), senior forward James Morrissey (West Haven, Conn.), sophomore forward Alex O’Dowd (Hanover, Mass.), senior forward Shepheard Stahel (Plano, Texas) and junior goaltender Ian Wallace (West Islip, N.Y.).

To be eligible for selection, a student-athlete must have posted a grade-point average of 3.75 or higher in the fall semester, and participated in at least 40% of their team’s games. Waivers to the 40% participation requirement are granted on a limited basis to backup goaltenders and athletes who lose playing time due to injury.

A total of 813 Division II/III men’s and women’s ice hockey student-athletes were honored by the program. Franklin Pierce’s 10 recipients ranked third in the Northeast-10 Conference.
