BREWSTER, Mass. (October 21, 2018) – The Franklin Pierce University men's golf program competed at the opening round of the 84th annual New England Intercollegiate Golf Association Championship Sunday on The Captains Golf Course.

FPU is knotted with the College of Saint Rose by totaling a 332 (+44) first 18 team total. Northeast-10 Conference opponent Assumption College leads the pack at 317 (+29), followed by Saint Anselm College (322, +34) and American International College (323 (+35).

Sophomore and reigning NE10 Golfer of the Week Dylan Plis (Camillus, N.Y.) carded a team-low 79 (+7) Sunday tying for sixth place on the individual leaderboard. Junior Keeton Foster (Spofford, N.H.) rounded out the Raven top-15 showings firing an 82 (+10).

Freshman Conner MacDonald (Kennebunkport, Maine) took part in his third tournament of the fall season producing a first round score of 83 (+11). Juniors Sam Myers (Colchester, Vt.) and Nathan Patterson (Conway, Mass.) produced 88 (+16) scorecards.

The Ravens will return to the links tomorrow and hope to improve upon their first-round numbers.
