Pennington climbs up leaderboard, cards 73 as Men’s Golf finishes seventh at Bello Invitational

BALDWINSVILE, N.Y. (April 20, 2015) – Freshman Charles Pennington (Heswall, England) carded a score of 73, the second best score of the day in the whole field as the Franklin Pierce University Ravens Men’s Golf team finished with the second best team score of the day with a 311, but overall finished seventh at the Mike Bello Invitational hosted by LeMoyne College at Timber Banks Golf Club.

Men’s Golf Finishes 12th at Cottrell Invitational

WEST CHESTER, Pa. (April 13, 2015) – The Franklin Pierce University men’s golf team concluded play at the Dr. Edwin B. Cottrell Invitational, hosted by West Chester, on Monday and finished 12th, out of 14 teams. The Ravens shot a 332 (+48) on Monday at the par-71, 6564-yard Penn Oaks Golf Club, to finish with a two-day total of 654 (+86).

WEST CHESTER, Pa. (April 12, 2015) – After the first day of the Dr. Edwin B. Cottrell Invitational, hosted by West Chester, the Franklin Pierce University men’s golf team sits 10th, out of 14 teams. The Ravens shot a 322 (+38) on Sunday at the par-71, 6564-yard Penn Oaks Golf Club.

(April 4, 2015) – Junior Brad Auclair (Cumberland, R.I.) found himself with a round of 78 on Saturday, ultimately leading him to a second place overall finish and leading the Franklin Pierce University Men’s Golf team to a fourth overall finish at the Memorial Tournament held at Dowling University.

SHOREHAM, N.Y. (April 3, 2015) – Junior Brad Auclair (Cumberland, R.I.) led the way with a 72 (+1), but was the only member of the Franklin Pierce University men’s golf team to crack 75 on Friday at the first day of the 11th Annual Memorial Tournament, hosted by Dowling at the 6,587-yard, par-71 Tall Grass CC. Through the first day of the two-day event, the Ravens are tied for ninth out of 13 teams, at 304 strokes (+20).
Men’s Golf uses strong Tuesday to muster seventh at Barton

WILSON, N.C. (March 17, 2015) – The Franklin Pierce University Ravens Men’s Golf team returned to the links for the first time on Monday and Tuesday since their appearance in the NEIGA Fall Championship in October. The beginning of the new spring season brought a little tough spots, along with some rust as the Ravens could only wager a seventh place finish at the 40th annual Barton Intercollegiate Tournament. The tournament was hosted by Barton College at Wilson Country Club in Wilson, North Carolina.

BREWSTER, Mass. (October 27, 2014) – Freshman John Abbott (Higganum, Conn.) set the tone for the future on Monday, as the Franklin Pierce men’s golf team shot lights out for the second consecutive day. Both Abbott and the team finished third in the individual and team scoreboards, as Abbott finished his tournament shooting a 79 (+7) for a two day total of 73/79/152 (+8), as the fall season wraps up for the Ravens.
