Golf Finishes Seventh at NE-10 Championship
Ian Landry finishes among top-20 of the individual standings for the second-straight year
ENDICOTT, N.Y. (October 1, 2012) -- The Franklin Pierce
University golf team shot a final round, 319 (+31), on Monday and
finished in seventh place at the 2012 Northeast-10 Conference
Championship held at the En-Joie Golf Course in Endicott, N.Y. The
Ravens carded a two-day total of 632 to finish at 56-over-par.
Adelphi captured the team championship with a two-round score of 602 (+26) and was led by individual champion Ryan Snouffer, who carded a two-day score of 143 (-1), including shooting a two-under-par, 70, on Monday in the final round.
Franklin Pierce was led by senior co-captain Ian Landry (Loudon, N.H.), who finished in a tie for 17th place after recording a two-round score of 157 (+13). He shot a final round seven-over-par, 79, on Monday, as Landry finished among the top-20 of the individual standings in the conference championship for the second-consecutive year.
Sophomore Stew Wise (Angiers, N.C.) followed in a tie for 24th place after shooting a final round 82 (+10) on Monday and finishing with a 36-hole score of 158 (+14). Freshmen Sean Shepard (Griswold, Conn.) and Brad Auclair (Cumberland, R.I.) were the other Ravens to finish among the top-30 of the individual standings as they both tied for 28th with a total score of 159 (+15) apiece. Shepard responded from a tough 81 on Sunday by shooting a six-over, 78, in the final round.
Senior co-captain Ricky Gray (Jaffrey, N.H.) tied for 38th after carding a 20-over-par, 164, for the tournament. He, too, responded with a lower second round score as he shot an 81 (+9) after carding an 83 in the first.
