Ravens Fall to Owls in High-Scoring Contest

RINDGE, N.H (1/18/25) – The Franklin Pierce men's basketball team faced off against Southern Connecticut State University on Saturday at The Fieldhouse. Despite a strong start by the Ravens, the Owls' explosive offense and sharp three-point shooting propelled them to a dominant 105-74 victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Ravens jumped out to an early 14-9 lead at the 11:49 mark in the first half, with Trevon Thomas (Oak Park, Ill.) hitting a 3-pointer at 12:51 and Demariontay Hall (Atlanta, Ga.) adding a layup to extend the lead to five.
- Southern Connecticut stormed back as Chris Joe scored 10 straight points off the bench, helping the Owls take a 19-16 lead.
- Antonio Chandler and Christian McClease combined for six straight points, with Chandler dominating the boards, putting the Owls up by seven.
- The Owls' three-point shooting surged late in the first half, allowing them to build a lead as large as 19 before halftime.
- Donte Pope (Middletown, Conn.) opened the second half with a three-pointer, but Southern Connecticut kept up their momentum, cruising to a 105-74 win over Franklin Pierce.
