Fadojutimi Selected to NE10 First Team By Leagues’ Head Coaches

MANSFIELD, Mass. (March 3, 2020) – No. 9 regionally-ranked Franklin Pierce University men's basketball senior guard Doyin Fadojutimi (Temple Hills, Md.) has been named to the Northeast-10 Conference First Team the league offices announced after a collection of votes by the leagues' head coaches were tallied. It marks the first time since the 2013-14 season (Ellis Cooper) that a Raven has received a First Team bid.

Fadojutimi, a 2018-19 NE10 Second Team Honoree, a one-time NE10 Player of the Week, and eight-time member of the NE10 Weekly Honor Roll this season has started and played in all 27 games for the crimson and grey this year. The Ravens team captain paces the squad with 18.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, 1.6 steals and 1.3 blocks per game with his scoring and rebounding all were new career-highs. He shot 46.6% from the hardwood and a personal-best 37.1% from beyond the arc.

He comes in at third in the conference in steals per game, fourth in blocks per game ninth in points per game and 16th in rebounds per game. Fadojutimi is one of six players in the Northeast-10 Conference that has averaged over 1.0 steals and 1.0 blocks per game.

The senior guard tallied two double-doubles throughout the season but could have had more as he came up one rebound shy of a double-double a whopping five times. He scored in double figures in 25 of his 27 contests and manufactures 10 20+ point games. He chipped in four games of 30 or more markers including a career-high 41 points in the Ravens 85-79 victory at home against Stonehill College on February 12th. Fadojutimi was 14-for-19 (73.7%) shooting going 9-for-13 (69.2%) from three-point land tying the program's single-game three-point conversion mark. On the defensive end, he blocked a new personal-best six shots in an 84-74 victory at Felician University on December 22nd.

Fadojutimi became the 35th player in program history to eclipse 1,000 career points connecting on a triple with 10:19 left in the second half during the Ravens 84-82 win on the road at Goldey-Beacom College on November 16th. For his career, Fadojutimi ranks tied for sixth all-time in program history in blocks (112), 15th in points (1,438) and 25th in rebounds (516).

The Ravens (16-11), the no. 3 Northeast Division seed will travel to the no. 5 regionally-ranked and no. 1 Northeast Division seed Saint Anselm College (19-8), winners of their past nine games for the NE10 Semifinals on Wednesday with tip-off slated for 7:00 p.m.
