RINDGE, N.H. (January 25, 2020) – Franklin Pierce University men's basketball senior guard Falu Seck (Washington, D.C.) scored a season-best and game-high 24 points as the crimson and grey obliterated Northeast-10 Conference foe Adelphi University 95-61 in Saturday matinee basketball action at The Fieldhouse. With the win, the Ravens record moves to 12-6, 7-4 NE10 while the Panthers drop to 14-6, 7-4 NE10.

Seck was a man on a mission scoring 21 (7-of-10 FG, 6-of-8 3PT) of his 24 points in the first half. He completed the game going 8-of-15 (53.3%) from the hardwood and 7-of-13 (53.8%) from beyond the arc with three assists and one steal. The 20+ point game was his fourth of the season while the seven triples were a new career-high. He is currently sitting on 993 career points and needs only seven more to become the 36th member of the programs 1,000 point club.

Three other Raven starters recorded double-figure point totals. Junior Sean Fasoyiro (Houston, Texas) produced a season-high 15 points with eight rebounds while missing only one shot attempt (6-of-7, 85.7%). Team captain Doyin Fadojutimi (Temple Hills, Md.) tallied 14 points of his own with a game-high tying eight caroms and two assists. Isaiah Moore (Temple Hills, Md.) was two assists and two boards shy of a triple-double as he manufactured 11 points. Moore's eight helpers were a new career-high.

Off the bench for Pierce Maxwell Zegarowski (South Hamilton, Mass.) and Brandon Kolek (Cumberland, R.I.) turned in nine and eight points respectively. As a team, the Ravens attempted a season-high 43 three-pointers and matched their campaign-best with 21 deep conversions for a 48.8% success rate. Pierce also outrebounded Adelphi (44-to-35) and scored 24 points off their 13 mistakes.

For the Panthers, Ronnie Silva carried the load on offense with 19 markers while Jared Rivers and Spencer Foley dumped in 12 points apiece.

Moore tied the game in the early stages at 2-2 converting a baseline floater. Rivers responded on the next trip down the court making a trey to move Adelphi back into the lead 5-2. A Moore up and under scoop regained the lead towards the host side at 6-5. An Austin Beech and1 put the Panthers in front 11-9 at the 16:23 mark, their last lead of the game.

From there, the Ravens would go on a game shifting 29-8 run spanning about eight minutes of play using their long-range attack. Seck buried six three-pointers during that binge including four consecutive trifecta attempts, three from the right-wing including a heat check from NBA range and a potential four-point play from the right corner to place his team ahead by 19, 38-19 with 8:08 to go before the break. Adelphi came within 14 points once, but a Fasoyiro three with seven ticks left gave FPU a 54-36 halftime lead.

Pierce came out of the locker room on a 12-2 scoring binge to build their lead to 66-38 following a Sean Bresnan (Yonkers, N.Y.) layup. The closest the Panthers would come would be a 23-point deficit via a Silva deep connection. FPU would wrap up the game on a 21-5 scoring spurt to expand their edge to a high of 39, 95-56 with 1:46 to go when freshman forward Derrick Obanor (Hyde Park, Mass.) banged home a left-wing three-pointer.

The Ravens ended their three-game homestand with a 2-1 mark and will embark on a two-game road week starting Wednesday, January 29th versus conference opponent Pace University (13-7, 5-6 NE10) with tip-off set for 7:30 p.m.
