RINDGE, N.H. (December 18, 2019) – Franklin Pierce University men's basketball senior guard Doyin Fadojutimi (Temple Hills, Md.) scored a team-high 20 points as the Ravens were victorious in their third straight game, a 74-59 decision against non-conference foe Roberts Wesleyan College Wednesday afternoon during matinee action in The Fieldhouse. With the win, the crimson and grey march to 6-3 while the Redhawks fall for the 10th time this season.

Fadojutimi came alive in the second half scoring 18 of his 20 markers in the final stanza. He knocked down 7-of-14 (50%) of his field-goal attempts with two triples while he corralled seven rebounds and dished out a team-high four assists. It was his fifth game of the year in which he scored 20+ points as he currently ranks second in the Northeast-10 Conference in scoring (21.6) and fifth in the DII East Region. He was a match-high +19 when he was on the hardwood.

He was joined by classmate and fellow team captain Falu Seck (Washington, D.C.) in double digits as he dumped in 15 markers on 5-of-9 (55.5%) shooting. Seck snared five boards and handed out two dimes as well. Sophomore guard Isaiah Moore (Temple Hills, Md.) tallied 12 points of his own with three helpers while Sean Fasoyiro (Houston, Texas) dropped seven points off the bench with a game-high tying 10 rebounds – four offensive.

For the Redhawks, Reggie Clark banged home five triples on 7-of-13 (53.8%) shooting for a contest-best 25 points en route to a double-double (10 caroms). Clark also paced the battle with five assists, but he turned the rock over a whopping eight times. Forward Armon Nasseri racked up 16 points of his own.

Pierce had plenty of good looks from three-point land, but couldn't capitalize as they only converted 20% (6-of-30) of their attempts. However, they controlled the paint (38-to-26), the fast break (18-to-7) and scored 24 points compared to six off turnovers. FPU never trailed in this contest making it the second straight game they haven't fallen behind.

Seck kicked off the game sinking a left-wing three-pointer to put Pierce ahead 3-0 early. Their edge grew to 7-0 two minutes later following two Fadojutimi blocks and a steal to a Sean Bresnan (Yonkers, N.Y.) fast-break layup. A Clark trifecta was the Redhawks' first points of the duel, however, a Seck slash to a hoop and harm regained the seven-point, 10-3 Raven lead.

A 12-5 Redhawks spurt capped off by another Clark three brought the game to a deadlock. They could not take the lead however as an 11-1 Raven binge of their own with five points coming from Bresnan and a Fadojutimi fast-break slam off Bresnan's third steal of the half moved the crimson and grey up 10, 26-16 with 4:12 left in the stanza. RWC slowly chipped away using an Eric Lewis trey, his only points of the game to make it a two-possession game, 29-23 under a minute to play. Two Moore freebies with three seconds left put the home team up 33-25 at the intermission.

Clark's dish to Armin Nasseri dropped the margin to six, 36-30 until a Fadojutimi and1 through the lane opened up a nine-point, 39-30 lead with 16:12 to go. The squads swapped points until Pierce pulled away midway through the second half. A 17-5 stretch for the Ravens spanning five minutes ended when Brandon Kolek (Cumberland, R.I.) drained one of three second-half three-pointers for Pierce on the left wing to expand the score to 66-50. Their biggest lead of the game came with 52 seconds left when Fadojutimi made two free throws.

Franklin Pierce travels on the road to Bloomfield College (5-4, 2-1 CACC) for the CACC/NE10 Crossover Classic Saturday, December 21st at 3:00 p.m.
