RINDGE, N.H. (January 13, 2018) – Five players scored in double figures for the Franklin Pierce University men's basketball team which included two 12 point efforts from starters Jordan Lackey (South Plainfield, N.J.) and Falu Seck (Washington, D.C.), but the Ravens dropped a Northeast-10 Conference contest to the College of Saint Rose Saturday afternoon in The Fieldhouse. With the win, the Golden Knights charge ahead to 13-4, 8-1 NE10 while the Ravens glide to 8-7, 3-7 NE10.

FPU sophomore guard Doyin Fadojutimi (Temple Hills, Md.) had an all-around game with 10 points, nine rebounds, two blocks and two steals. Teammate Mike McDevitt (Cumberland, Maine) added 10 points, nine rebounds, and five assists. Following a career-high performance last time out versus Pace, junior guard David Bradbury (Deep River, Conn.) produced 11 points on 4-of-5 (80.0%) shooting while coming down with three rebounds.

For the Golden Knights, junior guard Shane Herrity notched a game-best 19 points on 7-of-10 (70.0%) shooting to go along with a 5-of-7 (71.4%) performance from downtown. Teammate Julian Lipinski was a beast on the boards with 11 rebounds before fouling out.

Franklin Pierce struggled to hit shots in the first half (9-of-32, 28.1%) but found their form in the second stanza (13-of-28, 46.4%). Saint Rose held the lead for 28 minutes, as there were only three lead changes over the course of the contest.

Seck drew first blood for the Ravens when he set his feet and connected on a long-range attempt from the right corner to push FPU ahead 3-0. McDevitt gave the Ravens their largest lead of the duel at 5-1 when he tipped home a missed Fadojutimi layup. With the Ravens ahead 13-10, Saint Rose freshman forward Jeff Allen went to work by producing five straight markers via a layup and a hoop and harm from the right block to move the guests ahead 15-13. The Golden Knight scoring binge continued when Jack Jones came up big with a block on the defensive end then drained a three. Jones' defense led to a three-ball from Mical-Ryan Boyd when he poked the rock away from McDevitt to cap the 11-0 run and pushed the guests ahead 21-13. Lackey brought the score to two possessions with a lay-in, but two consecutive treys by Herrity gave the Golden Knights a 34-23 lead at the intermission.

During the 13:15 mark in the second stanza, a Matt Cerutti layup upped the Golden Knights lead to a 17 point, 46-29 advantage. Franklin Pierce continued to fight as a 17-5 run brought their deficit to five, 51-46 as they used a corner three and fast break and1 from Bradbury, and a Seck deep connection. Two Jeff Allen free throws upped the edge to seven 55-48, but Bradbury continued his streaky shooting with a driving two and another corner three-ball off an Asante Sandiford (Boston, Mass.) steal to make it a two-point game 55-53 with 5:51 to go.

The teams swapped buckets as it stayed a two-point game, but Herrity drained back-to-back threes and Cerutti threw in a layup following an offensive rebound to give the Golden Knights a commanding 10 point edge with 59 ticks left.

The Ravens remain home for their next duel on Wednesday against NE10 opponent Southern Connecticut State University with tip-off set for 7:30 p.m.
