Field Hockey Claims National Team Academic Award

MANAHAWKIN, N.J. (2/18/25) - Franklin Pierce field hockey was recognized by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) on Tuesday with the Division II National Academic Team award. The prestigious acknowledgement is granted to programs that have achieved an exception team grade-point average of 3.5 or higher during the fall semester of the current academic year.
Franklin Pierce was one of 13 teams in all of DII to earn the recognition. The team continues to succeed in the classroom, earning the recognition for the second year in a row.
The program had a 3.56 GPA in the 2024 fall semester and six students earned a perfect 4.0 GPA.
The field hockey program has been well recognized in the past weeks by the NFHCA in their annual academic awards releases. The Ravens previously had 12 student-athletes named last week to the NFHCA's National Academic Squad. Six of them were named Scholars of Distinction.
