HOW IT HAPPENED:
- After a scoreless first inning, the Ravens broke through in the top of the 2nd. Hunter Wilichoski (Hamilton, Mass.) and Connor Smalley (West Sayville, N.Y.) each walked to lead off the inning. Then, Chris Roberti (New Fairfield, Conn.) reached on a fielder's choice, but Wilichoski was thrown out at third. Roberti was then picked off at first. Julien Monks (Pace, France) reached first off a throwing error by the third baseman, moving Smalley over to third. With runners on the corners, Eli Battipaglia (Cheshire, Conn.) capitalized by drilling an RBI single to left field, scoring Smalley and giving the Ravens the 1-0 lead.
- The Ravens picked up right where they left off in the top of the 3rd. Joey Acker (Upton, Mass.) started the inning with a single to right field. Ian Battipaglia (Cheshire, Conn.) added on with a single to right field, advancing to second and third off an error, eventually scoring Acker to put the Ravens ahead 2-0.
- After 3 scoreless innings, the Ravens bats woke up once again in the top of the 6th. Nolan DeAndrade (Bridgewater, Mass.) smoked a solo homer to center field, padding the Ravens lead to 3-0.
- The Ravens put the game away for good in the top of the 7th. They struck for 4 runs on 5 hits, highlighted by an RBI double from Julien Monks, an RBI single from Eli Battipaglia, and an RBI single from Joey Acker. The Ravens held a comfortable 7-0 lead after 7 innings.
