Thompson will represent the Chatham Anglers on the East Division Team.

The trio included softball senior Jamie Verner (Natick, Mass.), men's lacrosse junior Ben McDannell (Morrisville, Pa.) and baseball junior Ryan Thompson (Calgary, Alberta).

(June 4, 2012) – Several members of the Franklin Pierce University baseball team will be waiting by the phone this week, as they hope to be selected in the 2012 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft, scheduled for Monday through Wednesday, June 4-6. Junior left-hander Vladimir Camacho (Jamaica Plain, N.Y.) and sophomore right-hander Ryan Thompson (Calgary, Alberta) could be selected as high as the top half of the 40-round draft, while graduate student center fielder James Roche (Arlington, Mass.), junior shortstop Dan Kemp (Sturbridge, Mass.) and others are all potential late-round selections.

(May 22, 2012) – Sophomore first baseman Zach Mathieu (Derry, N.H.) of the No. 14/25 nationally ranked Franklin Pierce University baseball team has been named American Baseball Coaches Association East Region Player of the Year, as announced Monday by the ABCA. He headlines four All-East Region selections for Franklin Pierce, all on the First Team, as he is joined by freshman catcher Matt Walsh (Plymouth, Mass.), graduate student center fielder James Roche (Arlington, Mass.) and junior right fielder Nick LaCroix (Grafton, Mass.). In addition, Roche earned a selection to the ABCA/Rawlings East Region Gold Glove First Team.

(May 20, 2012) – Junior right-hander Derek Zielinski threw a six-hitter and struck out 12 on Sunday afternoon to lead No. 16/21 nationally ranked and second-seeded Le Moyne to a 6-2 win over the No. 15/25 and third-seeded Franklin Pierce University baseball team in an elimination game on the final day of the NCAA Baseball Championship East Regional, hosted by Southern New Hampshire at Penmen Field. In his final collegiate game, graduate student center fielder James Roche (Arlington, Mass.) went 1-for-4 with an RBI double in defeat for Franklin Pierce.

(May 18, 2012) – Junior right-hander Ryan Thompson (Calgary, Alberta) fired a six-hitter and did not allow an earned run on Friday night, to lead the No. 14/25 nationally ranked and third-seeded Franklin Pierce University baseball team to a 7-1 win over fifth-seeded Wilmington (Del.) on the second day of the NCAA Baseball Championship East Regional, hosted by Southern New Hampshire, at Penmen Field. Senior second baseman Dan Hennigan (Downingtown, Pa.) scored three times in the victory for Franklin Pierce.

(May 17, 2012) – Graduate student left-hander Jack Crawford (Montgomery, N.Y.) fired a three-hit shutout and struck out eight on Thursday night, as the No. 14/25 nationally ranked and third-seeded Franklin Pierce University baseball team defeated fourth-seeded Saint Anselm, 3-0, on the first day of the NCAA Baseball Championship East Regional, hosted by Southern New Hampshire at Penmen Field. Senior left-hander John Healy went the distance and tossed a seven-hitter in defeat for Saint Anselm.
