A year ago, Scott Savastano became the 15th draft pick in program history when he was taken in the 28th round (857 overall) by the Seattle Mariners. Savastano is currently hitting .318 for the Mariners' Class-A Midwest League affiliate.

The 15 selections are tied for second-most with Connecticut among New England institutions since 2001. The Ravens and the Huskies trail only Boston College, which has produced 24 draft picks in that time frame.

The Ravens (37-18) captured their third Northeast-10 Conference regular season title in four years earlier this spring and followed that with their third consecutive Northeast-10 Championship title, which was the program’s fourth in five years. Franklin Pierce earned the second seed in the NCAA Division II Baseball Championship East Regional and hosted an NCAA regional for the fifth consecutive season.
