RINDGE, N.H. (August 20, 2007) Franklin Pierce University standout infielder Scott Savastano (Plymouth, Mass./Plymouth North) will now officially return for his junior season after going unsigned by the Cleveland Indians before the Major League Baseball deadline.

(July 23, 2007) The 32nd Annual New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) All-Star Game, held at historic Fenway Park, had a distinct Franklin Pierce University flavor as the College Division (Divisions II & III) defeated the University Division (Division I) 2-0 last night.

(June 6, 2007) Several Franklin Pierce baseball players will be huddled around computers over the next two days in hopes of hearing their names selected in the 2007 Major League Baseball First Year Player Draft which begins on Thursday (2 p.m.) with first round coverage aired on ESPN2 for the first time. The draft will continue with up to 50 rounds through Friday.

(May 13, 2007) Top-seeded Franklin Pierce, ranked ninth in this weeks National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Division II poll and 14th in the Collegiate Baseball magazine rankings, defeated third-seeded Bryant University twice to capture its second Northeast-10 Conference Baseball Tournament title in three years at LeLacheur Park this afternoon. The Ravens forced the if necessary game with a 4-2 victory in game one, before capturing the title with a 4-3 victory over the Bulldogs to complete the sweep.

The Ravens fell 7-3 to third-seeded Bryant University in game six of the tournament, before posting a 5-1 victory over fourth-seeded Pace University in game seven to advance to the championship round for the third time in program history.
