169 Student-Athletes Named to NE-10 Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll
Six student-athletes earn perfect 4.0 GPAs during the fall semester

RINDGE, N.H. (February 2, 2012) -- Franklin Pierce University recently had 169 of its student-athletes named to the Fall 2011 Northeast-10 Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll. The 169 student-athletes came from 15 teams on the Rindge campus that compete in the Northeast-10.
On the men's side, the baseball team led the way for all teams with 32 of its student-athletes being named to the honor roll. The women's team with the highest number of honorees was the softball squad, which posted 16 of its members on the academic list.
Six other Ravens teams produced double-digit honorees on the academic honor roll, including men's lacrosse (16), women's soccer (15), field hockey (14), men's ice hockey (12), men's soccer (12) and women's lacrosse (11).
The other Franklin Pierce teams to be recognized on the honor roll included women's basketball (9), volleyball (9), women's tennis (7), women's cross country (6), golf (6), men's tennis (6) and men's basketball (4).
Six student-athletes produced perfect 4.0 grade point averages during the semester, including men's tennis' Michael Connor (Newburyport, Mass.), women's soccer's Christina Curnias (Wethersfield, Conn.), women's tennis' Natasha McCarthy (Rindge, N.H.), baseball's James Roche (Arlington, Mass.) and softball's duo of Jamie Verner (Natick, Mass.) and Jessica Wiley (Cape Vincent, N.Y.).
To be eligible for selection to the Northeast-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll, a student-athlete must have met and/or exceeded a minimum 3.0 semester grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) during the fall '11 semester.
