RINDGE, N.H. (11/8/24) - It's a jam-packed, can't miss weekend for Franklin Pierce Athletics, with Senior Days, playoffs and home openers bringing the heat to Rindge. Plus, FloCollege is offering a Free Preview Day on Saturday, so fans can catch the action online at no cost.  

Friday, November 8  

The men's ice hockey team returns to the Jason Ritchie Ice Arena for the first time this season after a year in Gardner. They're facing off against the Saint Anselm Hawks to open up NE10 conference play. FPU President Dr. Peter Eden will be the honorary puck drop participant as he received a custom jersey from the men's ice hockey players. He will be showing it off during the puck drop at 4 PM. 

Later that night, the women's ice hockey team will also play at the Jason Ritchie Ice Arena at 7 PM. They will host the Skyhawks of Stonehill College to continue NEWHA competition.  

Back at the fieldhouse, the volleyball team plays their final home match of the season. The team will honor their lone senior for the fall of 2024. Senior day celebrations will start at 5:50 for the match to start at 6 PM.  

Saturday, November 9 

It's Senior Day at Sodexo Field! Sixteen seniors will be honored in a pre-game ceremony at 12:30 PM as they gear up to face Bentley University at 1 PM. In honor of the FloCollege Free Preview Day, you can watch the game for FREE using this link.  

Kicking off their postseason run in the NE10 Quarterfinals, the men's soccer team will host Southern Connecticut at 7 PM at Sodexo Field. This game will also be featured on Flo for FREE. That stream can be accessed from this link.  

Not enough hockey? You're in luck! The men's team hits the ice again for another round against Saint Anselm at 7 PM, will also be streamed for FREE through this link.  

Sunday, November 10 

Capping off the weekend with a playoff push, the women's soccer team hosts Assumption University in the NE10 Quarterfinals at 2 PM on Sodexo Field. 

Teams on the Road 

Meanwhile, multiple Franklin Pierce teams are either starting their seasons or continuing the heat: 

• Women's Basketball: Competing in the Conference Challenge at the College of Staten Island, they'll face CSI at 5:30 PM on Friday and then the District of Columbia at noon on Saturday. 

• Men's Basketball: The Ravens are headed to the Bridgeport Tip-Off Tournament, facing Post University on Friday at 5 PM and then taking on Bridgeport, the tournament hosts, on Sunday at 5 PM. 

• Men's and Women's Cross Country: The Ravens take on the 2024 NCAA DII East Regional Championships in Rochester, NY, hosted by Roberts Wesleyan University. The men start at 10:00 AM and the women follow at 11:15 AM. 

• Women's Ice Hockey: The team will hit the road for home-and-home action at Stonehill College on Saturday. Puck drop is set for 1 PM.
