Ben Rosenfeld Hired as Senior Associate Athletic Director for Marketing, Outreach and Operations

RINDGE, N.H. (09/10/24) – Franklin Pierce University Interim Athletic Director Matt Johnson has announced the hiring of Ben Rosenfeld to the Ravens Staff, joining the athletics department as its Senior Associate Athletic Director for Marketing, Outreach and Operations after spending several previous years at Boston College.

"I am incredibly excited to announce the hiring of Ben Rosenfeld as our new Senior Associate Athletic Director for Marketing, Outreach and Operations," said FPU Interim Athletic Director Matt Johnson. "Ben and I worked together for over five years at American International College, and I can tell you, with certainty, that the Franklin Pierce community is getting someone with a high moral compass whose work rate is second to none. Most importantly, Ben is a great human being, he treats people well and will represent the University positively at all times."

Rosenfeld spent four plus years in Chestnut Hill, MA on the facilities and operations team where he was responsible for the management of Conte Forum; a 7,500+ seating venue that was the competition facility for Eagles men's and women's hockey and men's and women's basketball programs. The facility also houses numerous administrative and coaching offices, as well as meeting spaces.

During his time on the Heights, Ben was responsible for event management for numerous sports, scheduling of the venue including changeovers of the facility and annual branding modifications to the facility and project work.

Rosenfeld started his professional career in college athletics as a graduate assistant men's basketball coach here at Franklin Pierce University.

"I could not be more excited to come home to Pierce at this current juncture of my professional career," said Rosenfeld. "My first job in college athletics was here at Pierce. Coming home to Rindge after 15 years is a full circle feeling. I am grateful to have been part of several incredible experiences within college athletics and am excited to do my part to give back to the institution that gave a lot to me. Rejoining the Raven family is a tremendous opportunity that my family and I are very excited about."

Prior to Boston College, Ben spent 5 years at American International College in Springfield, MA where he oversaw both internal and external operations for the athletic department. On the external side, Rosenfeld launched a corporate partnerships program for the athletic department as well as a season ticket holder program for men's ice hockey home games. On the internal side, he was responsible for facility and game scheduling and outside rentals. Rosenfeld helped successfully transition the men's ice hockey program into the MassMutual Center as its competition venue. It was at this stop where he initially met and worked directly with Matt Johnson.

Rosenfeld graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Management. During his time there, he was a student manager for the men's basketball staff.

At Franklin Pierce, Rosenfeld will be responsible for planning, implementing, and managing all aspects of the Athletic Department's annual giving initiatives. In addition, this position will collaborate with advancement to create sales and marketing campaigns highlighting athletic and other events.
