RINDGE, N.H. (09/13/2023) – Franklin Pierce University Cross Country and Track & Field Assistant Coach Richard Hart has been voted in as president of the New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association.

As president, Hart will lead the association's executive committee that is comprised of leaders from all across the NCAA's three divisions. Those working directly with him represent schools such as Tufts, Quinnipiac, University of New Hampshire and a list of other schools across the northeast.  According to the NEICAAA, the group works to strengthen and enhance member institutions' commitment to providing the highest level of student-athlete experience by creating championship opportunities for student-athletes across New England.

Hart kicked off his first season at Franklin Pierce University during the summer of 2023 but brings with him an award-winning career as both a head coach and assistant coach working at several schools including Northeastern, UMASS Boston, Stonehill and most recently American International. Throughout his career he coached All-American runners at all three levels of the NCAA and beyond.

For the Ravens, Hart will lead the team's field events and multis. Outside of coaching, Hart will wear two other hats at Franklin Pierce, serving as both the associate director of admissions and the athletic recruiting coordinator.
