Cross Country Programs Combine to Boast Nine USTFCCCA All-Academic Selections

NEW ORLEANS (January 30, 2020) – A total of nine members of the Franklin Pierce University men’s and women’s cross country teams have earned United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic honors, as announced Thursday by the USTFCCCA. In addition, both the men’s and women’s cross country programs have been honored at the team level by the USTFCCCA All-Academic program.
Women’s Cross Country Finishes Program-Best Ninth at NCAA East Regional

PHILADELPHIA (November 9, 2019) -- The Franklin Pierce University women’s cross country team took its first-ever top-10 finish at the regional level on Saturday afternoon, as the Ravens placed ninth out of 26 teams at the NCAA Championship East Regional, hosted by Jefferson at the Belmont Plateau.

MANSFIELD, Mass. (November 7, 2019) -- The Franklin Pierce University men’s and women’s cross country combined to boast four All-Northeast-10 Conference selections, as officially recognized on Thursday afternoon by the league office. For the men, junior Hugo Arlabosse (Marseille, France) landed on the First Team, while sophomore Riley Fenoff (Danville, Vt.) and senior Jason Reed (Foxborough, Mass.) placed on the Second Team. For the women, junior Marissa Farago (Salisbury, Mass.) landed on the Third Team.

JAMESVILLE, N.Y. (October 27, 2019) -- The Franklin Pierce University women’s cross country team competed in upstate New York on Sunday. The Ravens took sixth, out of 14 teams, at the Northeast-10 Conference Championship, marking the highest they have ever finished at the event.
Women’s Cross Country Heads North of Border, Takes Ninth at Interlock Invitational

MONTREAL (October 12, 2019) -- The Franklin Pierce University women’s cross country team faced a stern test on Saturday, but shone well while competing internationally. The women ran an 8k course, which is nearly two miles longer than their typical 3.1-mile run. The women finished ninth out of 14 teams, in a meet which included some of the best teams in Canada.
Farago in Top Five, Women’s Cross Country Finishes Fifth at 7th Annual Kirsh Cup

HOPKINTON, N.H. (September 28, 2019) -- The Franklin Pierce University Women’s cross country team held its annual home meet on Saturday, as the Ravens played host to six other schools in the seventh annual Bruce Kirsh Cross Country Cup at the Hopkinton State Fairgrounds. Junior Marissa Farago (Salisbury, Mass.) led the way, with a fifth-place finish (out of 73 runners), as Franklin Pierce took fifth place in the seven-team meet.
Women’s Cross Country Places 17th at UMass Dartmouth Invitational

DARTMOUTH, Mass. (September 21, 2019) -- The Franklin Pierce University women’s cross country competed at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday. First across the line for the Ravens was junior Marissa Farago (Salisbury, Mass.), who took 47th out of 263 runners. She finished with a time of 19:51 for the 5k race.
Cross Country has Pair Earn NE10 Weekly Awards

MANSFIELD, Mass. (September 17, 2019) -- Fresh off his race win on Saturday, sophomore Riley Fenoff (Danville, Vt.) of the Franklin Pierce University cross country team has been named Northeast-10 Conference Athlete of the Week, for the week ending on 9/15, as announced on Tuesday by the league office. In addition, freshman Nadia Cathcart (Hyde Park, N.Y.) has been named NE10 Rookie of the Week.
Three in Top 25 as Women’s Cross Country Places Fourth at UNE Invitational

BIDDEFORD, Maine (September 14, 2019) -- The Franklin Pierce University Women’s cross country team was in action on Saturday morning at the UNE Invitational, hosted by University of New England. Junior Marissa Farago (Salisbury, Mass.) was the first to cross the finish line for the Ravens. Her time for the 5k race was 19:54 which landed her in 14th, out of 133 runners.
Women’s Cross Country Places Fifth at Trinity Invitational

MANCHESTER, Conn. (September 7, 2019) -- The Franklin Pierce University women’s cross country team competed at Wickham Park on Saturday in the Trinity College Bantam Invitational. Junior Marissa Farago (Salisbury, Mass.) took the lead for the Ravens, with a 5k time of 21:01.5 allowing her to finish 14th out of the 87-female running field. As a team, the Ravens would place fifth, out of eight squads.
