MANSFIELD, Mass. (October 1, 2019) – Franklin Pierce University volleyball junior Ellie Ivanova (Sofia, Bulgaria) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Libero of the Week the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.

Ivanova appeared in both games for the Ravens this past week. She tallied a total of 56 digs, good enough for 7.00 digs per set with eight assists, five aces, and one kill. Against Saint Anselm, Ivanova was a force on the defensive end setting a new career-high with 36 digs, the fifth-highest mark during a single game in program history. On the road, at Saint Michael's she chipped in 20 digs and four aces.

Her selection as Libero of the Week marks the first time since 2013 (Lauren Miller) that a Raven has taken home that weekly honor. On the season, Ivanova ranks fifth in the conference in digs (208), digs per set (4.52) and 12th in service aces (17).

The Ravens (7-5, 1-1 NE10) end their non-conference slate of games Saturday at home against the University of Bridgeport with first serve scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
