RINDGE, N.H. (August 18, 2015) – The Franklin Pierce University volleyball team has been named as a recipient of the American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award for the 2014-15 academic year, as announced earlier this summer by the AVCA. It is the sixth straight year Franklin Pierce has earned the honor from the AVCA.

DES MOINES, Iowa (July 29, 2015) – Franklin Pierce University head volleyball coach Stephanie Dragan and incoming freshmen Katie Leidhold (Acushnet, Mass.) and Abigail Sonuga (Haverhill, Mass.) each donned the nation’s colors, as Dragan guided the New England Region Volleyball team (NERVA) as head coach at the USA High Performance Volleyball Championships last week. Her two incoming recruits joined her as players at the event.

RINDGE, N.H. (February 5, 2015) – Four Franklin Pierce University student-athletes have been named to the fall 2014 Northeast-10 Academic All-Conference Team in their respective sports, as announced Thursday by the Conference office. Volleyball saw senior outside hitter Catie Swiderski (Rocky Point, N.Y.) and sophomore middle Aiden Garcia (Eagle Pass, Texas) selected, while senior back Gabriela Vieira (Sao Paulo, Brazil) and junior midfielder Kaycee Pereira (Ludlow, Mass.) were honored from the women’s soccer team. The selected Ravens were among 88 student-athletes across seven sports honored by the Northeast-10.

RINDGE, N.H. (January 6, 2015) – Senior volleyball player Catie Swiderski (Rocky Point, N.Y.) may have finished off her career on the court at Franklin Pierce, but her off the court contributions have also been recognized as she was one of three in the country awarded the Dig Pink Award presented by the American Volleyball Coaches Association and Side-Out Foundation.

(November 11, 2014) – The Franklin Pierce volleyball team saw four of its players selected to All-Northeat-10 Conference honors, led by senior Catie Swiderski (Rocky Point, N.Y.) who was named to the All-Conference second team. Sophomore Aiden Garcia (Eagle Pass, TX) landed on the Third Team, while freshman Hannah Runge (Deltona, Fla.) and Hannah St. Jean (Olympia, Wash.) were both named to the All-Rookie Team.

WEST HAVEN, Conn. (November 11, 2014) - The Franklin Pierce University Ravens volleyball team came out nothing short of hungry to prove themselves on Tuesday night, entering their third consecutive trip to the Northeast-10 Conference Championships.

RINDGE, N.H. (November 8, 2014) – The Franklin Pierce volleyball team had only one option on Saturday afternoon: to win. The door was left open by LeMoyne after their loss to Bentley earlier in the day, allowing Franklin Pierce to grab the final playoff spot in the Northeast-10 Conference tournament. They did just that. The Ravens hit .342 as a team and swiftly put away the Southern Connecticut State Owls by a final of 3-0.

RINDGE, N.H. (November 7, 2014) – Senior Catie Swiderski (Rocky Point, N.Y.) threw down 11 kills on the night, but it wasn’t enough to stop the train that was the Dowling College Golden Lions as they took the win 3-0 in a non-conference matchup at the Fieldhouse.

RINDGE, N.H. (October 11, 2014) – With one of the strongest teams in the East Region in town on Saturday night, the Franklin Pierce University volleyball team had a tough task on hand. That did not faze the young Ravens squad, as they continued their winning ways at home with a 3-1 win over the Stonehill College Skyhawks in Northeast-10 Conference play at the Fieldhouse. Senior outside hitter Catie Swiderski (Rocky Point, N.Y.) hit .256 on her way to a match-best 12 kills to lead the way for the Ravens.
