Volleyball’s Lauren Miller Named Northeast-10 Libero of the Week
Senior earns honor for third time in her career

Miller earned her first Northeast-10 Libero of the Week award in
over two years.RINDGE, N.H. (November 12, 2013) – Senior libero Lauren Miller (Alexandria, Ind.) of the Franklin Pierce University volleyball team has been named Northeast-10 Conference Libero of the Week for the week ending on Nov. 10, as announced Tuesday by the Conference office.
In a 2-0 week for Franklin Pierce, Miller averaged 6.00 digs per set (54 total digs) and chipped in 0.78 aces per set (seven total aces) along the way. On Friday against Le Moyne, she collected a match-best 30 digs, served up five aces and added three assists for good measure. On Saturday against Saint Rose, she notched 24 more digs, to go with two aces and four assists.
For Miller, it marks the third time in her career she has been named Northeast-10 Libero of the Week. It is her first selection since the week ending on Oct. 23, 2011, as she earned the accolade twice as a sophomore. Previously, Miller earned Northeast-10 Rookie of the Week honors twice as a freshman in 2010.
For Franklin Pierce, it is the second major weekly award of the season. Miller joins freshman setter Kelsey Hausman (Sandy, Utah), who was named Northeast-10 Setter of the Week for the week ending on Sept. 17.
On the season, Miller currently ranks 31st in the nation in digs per set (5.25). That number is also good for fourth in the Northeast-10, while she ranks fifth in the Conference in aces per set (0.39).
The Ravens (12-7, 7-5 Northeast-10) return to the court on Tuesday night, when they host Southern New Hampshire in a Northeast-10 Conference contest. First serve is set for 7 p.m. at the Fieldhouse in Rindge.
