RINDGE, N.H. (June 21, 2012) -- A trio of Franklin Pierce University athletic teams (volleyball, women's basketball and women's tennis) earned the 2011-12 Northeast-10 Conference Team Academic Excellence Award for their respective sport, as announced on Thursday by the league. The three Raven squads were tied for the second highest total in the league.

(November 5, 2011) – Sophomore middle Katie Jackson (Centennial, Colo.) hit a match-best .444 with nine kills and added a match-high seven blocks on Saturday afternoon to lead the Franklin Pierce University volleyball team to a 3-0 win over Assumption in Northeast-10 Conference play at the Fieldhouse. Freshman outside hitter Catie Swiderski (Rocky Point, N.Y.) added nine kills of her own in the victory to match Jackson for the match lead.

RINDGE, N.H. (November 3, 2011) – The Franklin Pierce University volleyball team has announced a change to its Thursday-night schedule. The Ravens’ scheduled match at American International has been moved to Franklin Pierce. The Yellow Jackets will visit the Fieldhouse in Rindge, with first serve scheduled for 7 p.m.

(November 5, 2011) – Sophomore middle Katie Jackson (Centennial, Colo.) put down a match-best 14 kills while hitting .433 with just one error on Thursday night to lead the Franklin Pierce University volleyball team to a 3-0 win over American International in Northeast-10 Conference play at the Fieldhouse. Sophomore setter Stephanie Svorinic (Scottsdale, Ariz.) dished out 35 assists and added 13 digs to pick up a double-double in the victory.

(October 29, 2011) – Sophomore libero Lauren Miller (Alexandria, Ind.) led the team with 16 digs on Saturday morning, though the Franklin Pierce University volleyball team was defeated, 3-0, by Pace at Goldstein Fitness Center. Freshman outside hitter Melanie Pavels hit .312 and posted a 12-kill, 12-dig double-double to lead the way for Pace.

(October 28, 2011) – Sophomore right side Natasha Ray (Colorado Springs, Colo.) narrowly missed a double-double with eight kills and 12 digs on Friday night, though the Franklin Pierce University volleyball team was defeated, 3-0, by Adelphi at Center for Recreation and Sport. Junior outside hitter Chelsea Overholt hit .478 with 12 kills in 23 attempts to lead Adelphi.

(October 26, 2011) – Freshman libero Lauren Miller (Alexandria, Ind.) of the Franklin Pierce University volleyball team has been named Northeast-10 Conference Libero of the Week for the week ending on Oct. 23, as announced Tuesday by the Conference office. In addition, sophomore right side Natasha Ray (Colorado Springs, Colo.) has been selected to the Conference’s Weekly Honor Roll.

(October 25, 2011) – Sophomore middle Katie Jackson (Centennial, Colo.) hit .321, posted 11 kills and was one of four Ravens in double digits offensively on Tuesday night, as the Franklin Pierce University volleyball team notched a 3-1 win over Saint Anselm in Northeast-10 Conference play at the Fieldhouse. Senior outside hitter Charlotte Tencza hammered out 21 kills in defeat for Saint Anselm to lead all players.

Junior outside hitter Allison Hebel finished with 14 kills and 13 digs in the victory for Le Moyne.

(October 22, 2011) – Sophomore right side Natasha Ray (Colorado Springs, Colo.) hit .240 with a team-best 16 kills and added 16 digs, while freshman outside hitter Catie Swiderski (Rocky Point, N.Y.) added 14 kills and 18 digs on Saturday afternoon to lead the Franklin Pierce University volleyball team to a 3-2 win over Saint Rose in Northeast-10 Conference play at the Fieldhouse. The match was a part of Franklin Pierce’s second annual Fall Sports Breast Cancer Awareness Day, raising money in support of breast cancer awareness and research.

(October 18, 2011) – Freshman outside hitter Catie Swiderski (Rocky Point, N.Y.) finished with 10 kills and 11 digs to post a double-double on Tuesday night, but the Franklin Pierce University volleyball team was defeated, 3-0, by Saint Michael’s in Northeast-10 Conference play at Ross Sports Center. Sophomore middle Chelsey Covitz led Saint Michael’s with 11 kills in the victory.

(October 13, 2011) – Sophomore middle Ashley Bruce (Hampton Falls, N.H.) hit a match-best .481 and notched a team-high 14 kills on Thursday night, but the Franklin Pierce University volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision to Southern Connecticut State in Northeast-10 Conference play at Pelz Gymnasium. Sophomore middle Sarah Beres led all players with 20 kills and hit .395 in the victory for SCSU.

(October 11, 2011) – Freshman outside hitter Catie Swiderski (Rocky Pont, N.Y.) pounded out 19 kills on 62 swings, while sophomore right side Natasha Ray (Colorado Springs, Colo.) notched a 13-kill, 21-dig double-double on Tuesday night, as the Franklin Pierce University volleyball team picked up a 3-1 win over Merrimack in Northeast-10 Conference play at the Fieldhouse. Sophomore setter Stephanie Svorinic (Scottsdale, Ariz.) dished out 45 assists in the victory.
