RINDGE, N.H. (November 9, 2010) – Senior libero Chelsie Kohout (Harrison Township, Mich.) of the Franklin Pierce University volleyball team has been named to the Northeast-10 Conference Weekly Honor Roll for the week ending on Nov. 7, as announced Monday by the conference office.
Though the Ravens lost all four of their matches last week, Kohout averaged 6.08 digs per set on the week. She opened the week with 19 digs against Merrimack on Tuesday, before picking up 23 digs against Adelphi on Friday night. On Saturday, she closed out the season with 18 digs against Pace and 19 more against NYIT.
On the season, Kohout led the Northeast-10 by averaging 5.77 digs per set. She also led a Ravens defense which ranked first in the conference in digs per set (17.61) and third in opponent hitting percentage (.158). For her efforts, she was named to the All-Northeast-10 Conference Third Team on Monday evening. Kohout finished her career with 1,905 digs, by far the most in program history.
