Pamela Walker Junior setter Pamela Walker dished out 15 assists against Bentley on Tuesday night.

RINDGE, N.H. (October 27, 2009) – Senior Kristine Mickelson tallied 10 kills to lead five Bentley players with five kills or more on Tuesday night as Bentley defeated the Franklin Pierce University volleyball team, 3-0, in Northeast-10 Conference play at Franklin Pierce’s Fieldhouse.

Bentley won the match via set scores of 25-11, 25-14 and 15-13. With the loss, Franklin Pierce falls to 7-18 (3-8 Northeast-10), while Bentley improves to 14-10 (9-3 Northeast-10).

For Franklin Pierce, senior Katie Ristow (Miami, Fla.) led the way with seven kills offensively, while senior Caitlynn Parnell (Medina, Texas) added five of her own. Junior setter Pamela Walker (Chino Hills, Calif.) put up 67 sets with just one ball-handling error, but came away with only 15 assists to show for it, as the Ravens hit .000 on the evening (20 kills, 20 errors, 80 attacks). Defensively, junior libero Chelsie Kohout (Harrison Township, Mich.) led Franklin Pierce with nine digs, while Ristow and senior Megan Feldmeth (South Pasadena, Calif.) each tallied a pair of block assists.

For Bentley, Mickelson led the way with her 10 kills, while senior Alex Kearney (eight kills), sophomore Virginia Wong (seven), junior Alaura Berry (six) and junior Morgan O’Laughlin (five) each recorded five or more kills apiece. Mickelson tallied her 10 kills without committing an error over 12 attacks to lead all players with an .833 hitting percentage. The Falcon offense ran through the set of junior Kelly Mee, who dished out a match-best 40 assists. Defensively for Bentley, senior libero Cassie Kraft posted double digits with 13 digs, while Mickelson led all players with three block assists.

The Bentley offense stayed in high gear all night long and hit .569 for the match, with 46 kills to just five errors over 72 attacks. The Falcons came out of the gate in a hurry, with 13 kills to one error on 19 attacks to hit .632 in the opening set.

The Ravens return to the court on Saturday, Oct. 31, when they remain home to host Saint Rose in a Northeast-10 Conference contest. Match time is set for 1 p.m. at the Fieldhouse.
