Volleyball Hosts Several Northeast-10 Teams In Spring Competition

RINDGE, N.H. (March 27, 2010) -- The Franklin Pierce University volleyball team hosted fellow Northeast-10 Conference members Massachusetts Lowell, Merrimack and Stonehill in a spring competition date at the Fieldhouse on Saturday. In the informal scrimmage setting, the Ravens defeated Stonehill, 2-1, and were defeated by Massachusetts Lowell and Merrimack.

Sophomore Dana Rowinski (Dix Hills, N.Y.) led the Ravens on the afternoon with 29 kills over the three matches, while freshman Kylie Clemens (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) added nine kills and 11 aces. Junior setter Pam Walker (Chino Hills, Calif.) dished out 49 assists on the afternoon, while junior libero Chelsie Kohout patrolled the backline and chalked up 42 serve receptions in the three matches.

Franklin Pierce has three more dates on its 2010 spring schedule. The Ravens will visit Dartmouth on April 10 and Keene State on April 17. Franklin Pierce will play host to Assumption, Colby-Sawyer, Massachusetts Lowell, Plymouth State and Worcester Polytechnic in the Fieldhouse on April 24.
