Volleyball Puts Two On Northeast-10 Conference Weekly Honor Roll

Chelsie Kohout was one of two Ravens selected to the Northeast-10
Conference Weekly Honor Roll.

– Sophomore Chelsie Kohout
(Harrison Township, Mich./L’Anse Creuse) and junior
Caitlynn Parnell (Medina,
Texas/Medina) of the Franklin Pierce University volleyball
team have both been named to the Northeast-10 Conference Weekly
Honor Roll for the week ending on Nov. 9, as announced Monday by
the conference office. The duo helped lead the Ravens to a 1-1
record over the weekend.
Kohout averaged 4.22 digs per set in the pair of matches over the
weekend. In Friday night’s win at Massachusetts Lowell, she
recorded a match-high 19 digs. Kohout followed that up with 19 more
digs on Saturday afternoon in a losing effort at Stonehill.
Parnell averaged 2.78 kills and 3.11 digs per set in the
weekend’s two matches. At Massachusetts Lowell, she posted a
double-double with a match-best 18 kills to go with 12 digs. The
next day against Stonehill, Parnell notched seven kills and 16
digs.
The Ravens (17-17, 8-6 NE-10) return to the court on Friday, Nov.
14, when they take on Bentley in the quarterfinal round of the
Northeast-10 Conference Championships, which will be hosted by
Pace. The match is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Goldstein Fitness
Center in Pleasantville, N.Y.
