Bentley Tops Franklin Pierce, 3-1
Kearny leads Falcons to sixth straight victory; Parnell leads Ravens with 13 kills despite loss

digs on Tuesday night at Bentley.

WALTHAM, Mass. (September 12, 2006)
– The Franklin Pierce women’s volleyball team suffered
a tough 3-1 loss to Bentley College (23-30, 29-31, 30-26, 25-30) in
Northeast-10 Conference action this evening at the Dana Center.
Bentley freshman Alex Kearny (La Jolla, Calif./La Jolla) paced the
Falcons offense with a game-high 18 kills and 15 digs, while junior
co-captain Carey Demos (Bakersfield, Calif./Stockdale HS) added 11
kills in the win . Sophomore setter Tori Piskulick (San Diego,
Calif./Scripps Ranch) posted 39 assists and 18 digs to lead Bentley
to its sixth straight victory.
Franklin Pierce freshman Caitlynn
Parnell (Medina, Texas/Medina) led all Raven hitters with 13
kills on the game, while adding 19 digs and three blocks. Sophomore
Nicole Buchholz (Ashburn,
Va./Stone Bridge) chipped in with ten kills and five blocks,
while classmate Karissa Hookstadt
(Camarillo, Calif./Camarillo) registered 43 assists and ten
digs despite the loss.
Franklin Pierce (3-2, 1-1 NE-10) will be in action again on
Thursday as it hosts Mercy College at 6 p.m. Bentley College (7-2,
2-0 NE-10) is back in action on Friday when it hosts West Texas
A&M on day one of the Bentley Invitational Tournament at 3 p.m.
