POULTNEY, Vt. (Sept. 30, 2003) – Junior Briana Bates (Belmont, N.H./Endicott College) recorded 14 kills, four aces and one dig to lead Franklin Pierce to a 3-0 victory over Green Mountain College in non-conference volleyball action this evening.

Freshman Christina Collett (Tombstone, Ariz./Tombstone) followed with 10 kills and two digs, while senior setter, Bethany Findley (Clinton, Conn./Morgan School) dished 22 assists. Freshman Kathleen Tryon (Tilton, N.H./Winnisquam) also contributed nine assists, two aces and one dig.

Franklin Pierce (6-6, 2-4 NE-10) returns to action on Thursday when it hosts Rivier College at 7 p.m. Green Mountain College (0-8) next travels to Southern Vermont on October 8th for a match at 7:00 p.m.
