Franklin Pierce falls to AIC, 3-0
RINDGE, N.H. (Sept. 18, 2003) –
The Franklin Pierce University volleyball team fell to American
International College, 3-0, in Northeast-10 Conference volleyball
action at the Franklin Pierce Fieldhouse this evening.
Senior Andrea Beauvais (Dearborn Heights, Mich./Annapolis) and
freshman Krystle Neves (N. Quincy, Mass./N.Quincy) led the Yellow
Jackets with 11 kills apiece. Sophomore setter Dawn Richardson
(Bristol, Conn./Bristol Central) dished 44 assists and junior April
Wissink (Ames, Iowa/Iowa Central) tallied 20 digs in the
victory.
Junior Briana Bates (Belmont,
N.H./Endicott College) and freshman Christina Collett (Tombstone,
Ariz./Tombstone) each totaled 14 kills for the Ravens and
Collett registered two service aces. Michelle McConnell (Elora, Ontario/Centre
Wellington) recorded ten digs while Tara Vece (Clinton, Conn./Morgan
School) had nine. Senior setter Bethany Findley (Clinton Conn./Morgan
School) helped out with 24 assists.
Franklin Pierce (5-4, 2-2 NE-10) returns to action next Tuesday
when it travels to Bentley College for League matchup at 7 p.m.
American International College (6-4, 3-1NE-10) next hosts Saint
Rose in a Conference match on Saturday at 4 p.m.
