Franklin Pierce Rallies to Defeat Teikyo Post, 3-2
Waterbury, Conn. (Sept. 11, 2003)
– After falling behind 2-0, the Franklin Pierce University
volleyball team battled back for a 3-2 win over Teikyo Post
University in non-conference volleyball action this evening.
Freshman Christina Collett
(Tombstone, Ariz./Tombstone) led the Ravens offense with 18
kills and also recorded two aces and 14 digs. Following close
behind were junior Briana Bates
(Belmont, N.H./Endicott College) who totaled 15 kills, two
aces and five blocks and freshman Erin Moseley (Billerica,
Mass./Billerica) who registered 13 kills, one ace and one
block. Senior setter Bethany
Findley (Clinton, Conn./Morgan School) dished 45 assists to
help the cause while Tara Vece
(Clinton, Conn./Morgan School) tallied a team-high 21
digs.
The Ravens (4-3, 1-1 NE-10) return to action next Tuesday when they
travel to Saint Anselm College for a Conference matchup at 7 p.m.
Teikyo Post (2-2, 1-0 CACC) next faces Holy Family University on
Saturday on the road at 1 p.m.
