MANSFIELD, MASS. (4/18/2024) – The Northeast-10 Conference recognized seven student-athletes as Sports Excellence Award winners on Thursday afternoon and Franklin Pierce University's Briahna Bouchard was named this year's recipient for Women's Indoor Track & Field.

According to the release, among the 72 student-athletes named to the NE10 Academic All-Conference teams last week, the Sport Excellence Award is given to one top individual from each of the league's seven winter sports.

To be eligible for Academic All-Conference and Sport Excellence honors, a student-athlete must have started at least half or played in two-thirds of all contests while making significant contributions and maintaining a 3.3 grade-point average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale.

Bouchard's award adds to the growing list of accolades that she has won during the 2023-24 academic year, including the most recent Northeast-10 Indoor Field Athlete of the Year Award. In the weeks prior, Bouchard was named USTFCCCA All-Region in the pentathlon. At the NE10 Championships, Bouchard won first place in the pentathlon and placed fourth in the 60m hurdles. She grabbed two more first place medals at the USM Husky Invitational in the 55m hurdles and the triple jump and grabbed third place in the 200m at the USATFNE Season opener.
