Indoor Track & Field: Whole Lot of Medals; Ravens Collect Six Conference Championships

BOSTON, MASS. (2/17/2024) – The Franklin Pierce University indoor track and field program collected an impressive 15 medals at the Northeast-10 Championships on Friday and Saturday including six first place finishes. Three of the gold medals were placed around the neck of Stephen Harris (Billerica, Mass.) after he won the 60m, 200m, and high jump. Wondu Summa (Burlington, Vt.) grabbed a pair of gold medals himself after he finished first in both the 3,000m and 5,000m events. Bri Bouchard was the lone Raven from the women's team to win a gold medal after she was first to cross the finish line in the women's pentathlon.

Following the two days of competitions, three of the four major awards were handed to Raven athletes including Men's Co-Most Valuable Athlete of the Championships bestowed upon Stephen Harris and Wondu Summa. Summa was also named men's track most outstanding performer. Ryan Walker (Seabrook, N.H.) was named the Northeast-10 Championship Elite24 recipient, which recognized him as the athlete with the highest GPA at the event.
