Indoor Track & Field Secures 14 Top-Three Finishers at Plymouth Panther Invitational II

PLYMOUTH, N.H. (2/4/23) - The Franklin Pierce University indoor track and field program spent their Saturday competing in the Plymouth Panther Invitational, hosted by Plymouth State University at the Bank of New Hampshire Fieldhouse. As a scoring meet, the men's squad claimed third out of seven participants with 86 points, while the women's side claimed fifth out of eight teams with 65 points.

PIERCE PLUS PERFORMERS – MEN 

  • Sophomore Alioune Diaw (Cumberland, R.I.) finished 3rd in the Men's High Jump (1.7m)
  • Senior Sal Lando (Sterling, Mass.) captured second in the Men's Weight Throw (13.45m)  
  • Freshman Jay Candelario (New Haven, Conn.) took 3rd in the Men's Shot Put (12.06m) 
  • Sophomore Tad Darrah (Thetford, Vt.) held 1st in the Men's 5K (15:38)  
  • Sophomore Logan Mihelich (Northwood, N.H.) placed 3rd in the Men's 5K (15:57) 
  • Sophomore Harrison Pelosi (Gloucester, Mass.) crossed the finish line 2nd in the Men's 1-Mile (4:38) 
  • Freshman Lalo Lopez (Naugatuck, Conn.) took 2nd in the Men's 60-Meter Dash (7.20) 
  • Senior Devin jones (Manchester, N.H.) placed 3rd in the Men's 60-Meter Dash (7.26) 
  • Freshman Elijah Woodley (Boston, Mass.) took 3rd in the Men's 200-Meter (24.08)  

PIERCE PLUS PERFORMERS - WOMEN 

  • Freshman Mia Beaudet (Chadds Ford, Pa.) claimed 1st in the Women's Long Jump (4.72m) 
  • Sophomore Briahna Bouchard took first in the Women's 60-Meter Hurdles (9.56) time, 3rd in the Women's  Long Jump (4.61m)
  • Sophomore Nouhayla Errahili (Fes, Morocco) seized 1st in the high jump (1.61m) 
  • Freshman Elizabeth Jones (St. Johnsbury, Vt.) took 1st in the Women's Pole Vault (3.0m)  

Overall, the Ravens continued to piece together solid performances, putting the finishing touches on a busy weekend for the program. Indoor track and field will be back in action on February 10th for the upcoming Boston University David Hemery Valentine Invitational.
