Track & Field in Action on First Day of Teamsgiving Relays - North

JAFFREY, N.H. (April 27, 2021) -- The Franklin Pierce University track & field program was back in action on Tuesday, hosting the first day of its second meet in as many weeks. The Ravens and their competition took to the track at Conant High School for the front end of the two-day Teamsgiving Relays - North.

In the Max Fanwick Men's Pole Vault, freshman Connor Nordmann (Bethel, Conn.) took first after clearing 3.96 meters. In the Dr. Pasta Barinelli Men's High Jump, freshman Stephen Harris (Billerica, Mass.) cleared 1.90 meters to take first in the event. Meanwhile, for the women, junior Stephanie Phoenix (Wallingford, Conn.) cleared 2.89 meters to claim first place in the Shannon Coffey Women's Pole Vault. Along with her was freshman Emma Cutter (Newburyport, Mass.), who cleared 1.98 meters to take second place.

In the Concord Boys Men's Mile, freshman Wondu Summa (Burlington, Vt.) took second after a 4:23 run. He was followed by freshman Ryan Outerbridge (Paget, Bermuda), who claimed third for his 4:27 race. Summa would post a victory in the Colton Ham's Hat Men's 3000 Meters, with a time of 8:54, with Outerbridge in third again, at 9:17. In the Teako Trims Men's 800, freshman Ryan Walker (Seabrook, N.H.) took second for his 1:55 race.

In the Natalie Davis Women's Mile, graduate student Bethaney Donnelly (Manchester, United Kingdom) took first for her 5:20 race. Junior Alana Thompson (Westampton, N.J.) took second in the Alyssa Lamber Women's 800 Meters for her 2:27 time. In the Holly Lindoe Women's 3000 Meters, graduate student Julia Cormier (Northwood, N.H.) took second, at 11:56, and sophomore Victoria Van Houten (Wantage, N.J.) followed in third, at 12:13.

In the Danny Warner Men's 110-Meter Hurdles, junior Sekou Veillard (Davie, Fla.) took second for his 15.71-second race. He also took second in the Cory Cataldo Men's 400-Meter Hurdles for his 59.19-second finish. Harris claimed first in the Handy Man Marty Gradijan Men's 400 Meters for a 51.61-second finish. Meanwhile, freshman Nathan Rinaldi (Bristol, R.I.) took second for a 51.82-second finish. He claimed first in the Jaris' Small Calves Men's 200-Meter Dash as well, which he raced in 23.5 seconds. Junior Ethan Pezzullo (Bristol, R.I.) was behind him, in second, with a run of 23.62 seconds. For the women, sophomore Nyjah Young-Bey (Montclair, N.J.) took first for her 58.66-second time in the Jacqueline Price Women's 400 Meters.

In the Program Legend Brad Dumais Men's 4x400-Meter Relay, the A team took second place for their 3:34 run, with a lineup of sophomore Zach Aham (Nottingham, N.H.), Walker, freshman Evan McNeice (Wethersfield, Conn.) and senior Ryan Ducrow (Amesbury, Mass.). In the DeLeon's Low Heel Recovery Men's 4x100-Meter Relay, the Ravens took first for their 43.96-second race, with a team of freshman Angel Gonzalez (North Andover, Mass.), Pezzullo, Rinaldi and Harris.

The women's relays also fared well. The A team for the Mama Holmes Women's 4x400-Meter Relay took third for their 4:18 time, with an order of junior Alena Masterson (Pelham, N.H.) to Thompson to Donnelly to freshman Meghan Sheline (Southington, Conn.). In the Breigh Souliere Women's 4x100-Meter Relay, the Ravens took second for their 50.75-second time from a lineup of freshman Angelique Coa, Young-Bey, senior Alyssa Harris (Billerica, Mass.) and sophomore Destini Hill-Edwards (Paget, Bermuda).

On Wednesday, it will be the throwers' turn, as second-day action takes place at Keene State's athletic complex in Keene, N.H.
