Hyde Sets Season Bests During Strong Day for Women's Track at Regis Pride Classic

WESTON, Mass. (April 26, 2015) – The Franklin Pierce Women's Track and Field Team had a day of top finishers on Sunday at the Regis Pride Classic hosted by Regis College.  Junior Nadine Hyde (Maple Valley, Wash.) set two season bests in throwing events to rank in the Northeast-10. 

Junior Nicki Zeigler (Circleville, N.Y.)  placed first out of 19 runners in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.26 seconds. She also placed third in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.13 seconds.

Junior Monique Loney (Stamford, Conn.) placed first the in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.94 seconds out of 28 runners.

Junior Danielle Koch (Coventry, Conn.) placed first out of 21 runners in the 800-meter with a time of 2:26.19. Junior Alyssa Lambert (Manchester, N.H.) placed first in the 1500 meters with a time of 4:57.52, she also placed second in the 800 meter with a time of 2:26.31.

Freshman Katelyn Thomas (North Andover, Mass.) placed first out of 21 runners in the 1500 meters with a time of 21:21.26. Thomas also placed first in the 5000 meters at 21:21.26, beating the second place finisher by over .10 seconds. 

Freshman Natalie Davies (Ware, Mass.) placed third in the 1500 meters with a time of 5:21.23.

Sophomore Breigh Souliere (Cumberland, R.I.) placed first in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.71 seconds, pacing out five other runners.

Sophomore Nicole Galewski (Pembroke, Mass.) placed first out of eight in the long jump with a distance of 5.07 meters, while the second place finisher had a distance of 4.77 meters. 

Hyde placed third out of 11 in the discus with a  distance of 35.64 which places her second in the Northeast-10 with her season best.  She also placed first out of six in the hammer throw with a distance of 43.39 meters which is her season best and now ranks her fifth in the NE-10.

Sophomore Miranda Gagnon (Rollinsford, N.H.) placed second out of 12 in the javelin with a distance of 36.30 meters.
