Speedy Price leads Women’s Track and Field to solid day at Snowflake Invitational

MEDFORD, Mass. (March 28, 2015) – Junior Jackie Price (Brick, N.J.) took home a sixth place finish in the 100-meter dash, and a third place finish in the 200-meter dash en route to a solid all around day from the Franklin Pierce University Women's Track and Field team at the Snowflake Invitational hosted by Tufts University.

Price collected a time of 13.13 seconds in the 100-meters, ranking her third in the Northeast-10 and the top Division II finisher in the event. She was also the top Division II finisher in the 200-meters, as her time of 27.26 seconds ranks seventh in the Northeast-10 Conference. 

Also tearing it up on the track was junior Monique Loney (Stamford, Conn.), as she finished second overall in the 400-meter dash. Her time of 1:02.11 gave her a new personal best time and ranks her third in the Northeast-10.

Other notable performances on the track came from junior Alyssa Lambert (Manchester, N.H.) and sophomore Holly Lindoe (Holbrook, N.Y.). Lambert took sixth in the 3000-meter run with a time of 10:46.50, while Lindoe finished seventh in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:35.55. Lindoe's mark set a new personal best for her, and ranks her fourth in the Northeast-10.

On the track, the Ravens saw plenty of notable performances, headlined by sophomore Samantha Toscano (Northwood, N.H.). Her fourth place finish in the triple jump with a jump of 10.14 meters set the bar for the Ravens competitors. 

Sophomore Nicole Galewski (Pembroke, Mass.) finished seventh in the high jump with a height of 1.48 meters, while freshman Emily Quinn (West Bridgewater, Mass.) finished eighth in the hammer throw with a toss of 37.32 meters. Quinn's mark set a season best for her.

Rounding out the Ravens top finishes for the day came from freshman Kelsey Lee-Donnelly (Manchester, N.H.) and junior Nadine Hyde (Maple Valley, Wash.). Lee-Donnelly mustered a ninth place finish in the pole vault with a height of 2.75 meters, matching a season-best finish. Hyde was able to finish 12th in the shot put, tossing a 9.81 meters. The throw currently ranks fourth in the Northeast-10 Conference. 

The Ravens return to action next Saturday, April 4 when they travel to Springfield, Mass. to compete in the AIC Invitational hosted by American International College.
