Ravens return full team to action next week at GBTC Invitational

Lambert Lambert ran her first 3,000 meters of the season on Sunday, and now ranks seventh in the Northeast-10 in the event.

HANOVER, N.H. (January 12, 2014) – Sophomore Alyssa Lambert (Manchester, N.H.) of the Franklin Pierce University women's track and field team moved into the top 10 in the Northeast-10 Conference in the 3,000 meters on Sunday afternoon at the Dartmouth Relays at Leverone Field House.

The Ravens sent only a partial squad to Dartmouth on Sunday, in the team's first outing since the semester break.

It was Lambert's first appearance in the 3,000 meters on the season, and she finished 16th at the meet with a time of 10:52.29. The mark was good for seventh thus far in the indoor season in the Northeast-10. It is the fastest time run by a Raven in the 3,000 so far in 2013-14.

Also of note for the Ravens on Sunday, freshman Holly Lindoe (Holbrook, N.Y.) participated in the one-mile race walk. Despite being the only participant connected with a college team (race walking is not an NCAA event), she placed third with a time of 8:19.36.

The Ravens return their full squad to the track on Sunday, Jan. 19, when they travel to the GBTC Invitational in Boston, Mass.
